I just finished reading the transcript of a beautiful, brilliant lecture by Zadie Smith in The New York Review of Books. Her comments, ultimately about Barack Obama's ability to "speak in tongues," address everything from her own personal experience to Pygmalion to Shakespeare, including Cary Grant and Frank O'Hara along the way.
